True Blood Valentine's Day Picture Frame Tutorial!

Hello!  My first blog and my first tutorial!  I am a big fan of the show and huge fan of the books!  (But not a nerd) ;-)  Get ready to dress up your desk and dazzle your friends and co-workers!  You are sure to be envied with this easy, inexpensive, do-it-yourself, true piece of art by any Truebie!

Materials:
$1 unfinished frame from Michaels with heart cutout
paint brushes
computer/printer
black, white, and red acrylic paint

For FREE TrueBlood font:
-go to www.fontspace.com, search "True Blood", download font, install font
(Windows) http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Install-or-uninstall-fonts
(Mac) Google "install font on mac"

Measure the area of the frame and adjust the font to match the size you wish. Print.

Paint frame black **good opportunity to practice dripping blood technique (below) with the black paint**
Let it dry completely before transferring the letters.

To transfer lettering from paper to wood:
-Scribble around the edge of the letters on the back of the paper with pencil
-tape in place on frame in desired location.
-trace around letters on the front of the paper

-remove tape and paper, and viola!

Paint in letters

**For dripping blood:
-set frame upright
-squeeze a little (a large pea size amount) directly from the bottle onto the edge of the frame
-keep upright until paint has run down the frame to the distance you desire
-lay flat to dry (probably overnight) It's thick, so you want to make sure it has enough time to dry

After frame has dried, use a finishing spray to seal and preserve

Pop a picture in there and you're done!
